We all love an afternoon tea, it's the wide selection of cakes and sandwiches with a warm tea or coffee.
But have you ever tried an afternoon tea that isn't your traditional scone and latte?

1. Trader Vic's- London

Let's begin with a tiki themed afternoon tea, that's right, tiki!

Trader Vic's, a tropical themed bar that serves "tiki-tea".

This tiki restaurant is located in London Hilton, Park Lane, Mayfair.

This afternoon tea has a French-Polynesian theme that offers a collection of delicious delights from 5pm onwards. 

This tasty tiki-tea offers a selection of crispy prawns, BBQ spare ribs, jalapeno cheese balls, chickpea crepes, mushroom dumplings and much much more!

The tiki-tea is served alongside vibrant cocktails made with light and dark rum. 

Trader Vic's tiki-tea is priced at £42 per person and is available from 5pm-10pm daily. 

2. Titanic Afternoon Tea- Belfast

Afternoon tea on the iconic Titanic staircase, how amazing!

Step back in time with 5 star service Sunday Afternoon Tea.

This afternoon tea offers the most splendid setting, the dining suite is the only place you can see a replica of the Grand Staircase (a real life feature on board RMS Titanic).

Once you have taken in the surroundings, enjoy tasty finger sandwiches, classic scones and other treats!

This afternoon tea starts at £28.50 per person.

3. Zindiya- Birmingham

Zindiya is an Indian street food restaurant located in Birmingham.

Zindiya offers an afternoon tea with a twist; they bring together Indian spices through tea blends, savoury dishes and sweet!

You will be served a selection of Bombay sandwiches, paneer or chicken tikka, cardamom scones, seasonal macarons and much more! 

This restaurant has a very colourful, relaxed interior following the street food passion.

This afternoon tea costs £18.95 per person or £22.95 per person with a chai wala cocktail!

4. Alice And The Hatter- Kent

The best afternoon tea in wonderland!

Located in Herne Bay, Kent is Alice and the Hatter, an Alice in wonderland inspired cafe.

This is a super unique afternoon tea which is perfect for all ages.

The afternoon tea consists of a 'drink me' potion, Queen of hearts tea and other nibbles with a wonderland theme.

This costs £22.95 per person!

5. Aqua Shard- London

On level 31 of The Shard you can experience a Peter Pan themed afternoon tea!

With breath-taking views and brilliant food, this is an excellent treat for some afternoon tea.

The menu features "codfish" Captain Hook, "Tinkerbell" (a sweet pastry biscuit), "the lost boys" (roasted chicken, bacon, mayonnaise and mustard sandwich) and much more.

Your tasty treats will be presented on Captain Hook's famous ship, expect masts, sails and planks all with different nibbles on.

Aqua Shard even have two signature drinks! "Never Grow Up' is the first, a wonderful non-alcoholic punch, perfect for those little Peter Pan fans.

For the big kids there is "Fairy Dust", a cocktail containing mint, cucumber flavoured vodka, absinthe, apple, ginger and lime!

This afternoon tea is slightly of the more pricey side starting at £52 per person, however with the views and spectacular food and drinks, it's totally worth it! 

Also, this afternoon tea has a partnership with Great Ormond Street Hospital Children's Charity, which means £2 from each afternoon package will be donated to the charity!

6. The Lane- Deal

Located at The Lane in Deal, is an afternoon tea served on a picnic bench! Sounds good right?

For £20 per person, you will receive a picnic bench full of treats and an unlimited pot of English tea.

Children's afternoon tea's are also available at £10 per child.

The standard afternoon tea offers mini pies, BLT open sandwiches, Apple crumble, chocolate brownie and much more! 

There is also the option of a vegetarian, gluten free and vegan afternoon tea!

7. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory Afternoon Tea- London

In London there is a Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, elegant afternoon tea.

The sweets and savouries are based on Roald Dahl's classic stories.

Indulge your inner child at this mouth-watering afternoon tea.

Afternoon tea is served Tuesday-Sunday, 12pm-4pm. 

This fantastic lunch starts at £49 per person.

This tea features juicy roast beef served with horseradish, spinach roly-polys and of course the scrumptious sweets which include violet marshmallow and scones with snozzberry jam and creams.

8. Belmond British Pullman- London and Kent

This fine dining afternoon tea is set on a vintage, old fashioned train that allows you to sit back and enjoy your lunch whilst taken on an exciting journey.

There are many different destinations such as Bath or York that you can take a trip to.

The interior of the train is simply stunning; with floral patterned cushioned seats and crisp white table cloths, this isn't your usual train journey.

The afternoon tea is fine dining and includes various sandwiches, savouries, pastries and cakes. 

This afternoon tea is more of a pricey treat, but with first class service, fine food and a fantastic train journey, it's worth every penny.
