In this Blog and Video, we'll show you 4 alternative Tequila recipes that you can make at home, in your pub sheds, or even in a proper Bar. So often you'll see Margarita recipes or Paloma recipes, well we wanted to bring you something different.
Tequila is a fantastic spirit made from the Agave plant, native to Mexico. And the basic types of Tequila you could use in your Cocktails are White Unaged Tequila, Reposado Tequila which has been rested for a few months. Or Anejo Tequila which is Aged Tequila. That's really at the surface level, you can go down all kinds of rabbit holes about the Agave Plant Terroir and the Type of Agave used, and the percentage of Agave used in the Tequila.
But for these Cocktails, we recommend you keep it basic and maybe just stick to your favourite Reposado Tequila.
In the video, we've used Cazcabel. Mainly because that's what Steve the Barman brought in from home!
There's just something about combining Tequila, Mango and Chilli. We're not flavour scientists and can't tell you why it works. But trust us, the combination is fantastic!
Glass; Romantic Water Glass
Add all the ingredients to a Cocktail Shaker with Ice. Shake Hard. Strain into an Ice filled Tumbler.
Salty Rim; Chilli & Lime Salt (or Citrus Margarita Salt) and a Frona; Dried Green Lemon

Add all the ingredients to a Cocktail Shaker with Ice. Shake Hard. Double Strain into a Coupe Glass.
Salty Rim; Citrus Margarita Salt and a Dried Pineapple Slice from Frona
Glass; Bamboo Cooler Glass
Add all the ingredients except Soda, to a Cocktail Shaker with Ice. Shake Hard. Add Soda and Strain into an Ice filled Hiball.

Add all the Ingredients to a Spritz Glass, Stir and Top with Ice
